Ven. Lama Kunga Rinpoche<\/span> will kindly bestow the entire 21 Tara series of Empowerments<\/span><\/em> in the Atisha tradition on Friday, Dec. 2nd in the evening, and during the day, on Saturday the 3rd and on Sunday the 4th. \u00a0 Everyone is welcome.\u00a0 These empowerments may be received as a blessing.\u00a0 For people interested in practice, there will be sadhanas (practice booklets) available for each of the 21 Taras.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

It is necessary to register and pay for the entire series.\u00a0 The donation amount is $375.00.\u00a0 The Dana (offering) to the Lama and monastic at the end is separate.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

PARTICIPANTS SHOULD FOLLOW A VEGETARIAN DIET WITHOUT GARLIC OR ONION ON THE DAYS OF THE EMPOWERMENTS.<\/strong><\/p>\n

TARA IS A (female) BODHISATTVA\u00a0<\/strong><\/span> (Sanskrit<\/a>: \u0924\u093e\u0930\u093e<\/span>, t\u0101r\u0101<\/span>; Tibetan<\/a> \u0f66\u0f92\u0fb2\u0f7c\u0f63\u0f0b\u0f58 = Drolma) also known as \u0100rya T\u0101r\u0101<\/b>, or Jetsun Dolma.<\/b><\/p>\n

Each of her 21 emanations has her own mantra and enlightened quality including protection, pacification, purification, rescue, healing, and varieties of assistance to practitioners on many levels.\u00a0 Tara is sometimes called the mother of the Buddhas. She is associated with Chenrezig and with Amitabha Buddha. There is a 21 verse prayer of praises to each Tara emanation, describing her qualities, which is recited in all schools of Tibetan Buddhism.<\/p>\n
