Lama Kunga Thartse Rinpoche will kindly bestow the Empowerment of Jetsun Milarepa Guru Yoga on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Ewam Choden.<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<strong>The starting time is 1:00 pm.\u00a0 Please arrive early to register at the door.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>The requested donation is $30.\u00a0 Dana (offering) to the lama is separate.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Everyone is welcome.\u00a0 There is no prerequisite.\u00a0 A practice sadhana will be given and explained. <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>The empowerment may be received as a blessing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Jetsun Milarepa (Tibetan: \u0f62\u0f97\u0f7a\u0f0b\u0f56\u0f59\u0f74\u0f53\u0f0b\u0f58\u0f72\u0f0b\u0f63\u0f0b\u0f62\u0f66\u0f0b\u0f54) was a Tibetan siddha, who, guided by his guru Marpa, changed from being a young angry murderer to a Buddhist yogi, finally becoming fully accomplished.<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>In the Foreword to his book, <em>Drinking the Mountain Stream<\/em>, Lama Kunga Rinpoche writes:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>&#8220;Milarepa is one the most celebrated spiritual teachers of all time. He was not only an eminent leader of the Kagyu lineage, but also a very important teacher for all schools of Tibetan Buddhism&#8230;..He was a man of three powers. His body was equivalent to the body of Vajrapani, his voice was the voice of Manjushri, and his hearing was the hearing of Avalokiteshvara.&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>I<span style=\"color: #800000;\">n the Guru Yoga Empowerment and practice, as we praise the guru for all of his qualities and accomplishments, we are able to imbibe their power and to gain a spark of understanding.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">What makes this empowerment especially unique is that our guru, Ven.
